MAMA AGNES MHLAHLO
Siphathisiwe Education Centre
When Mama Agnes moved to Mosselbay, she witnessed great need in the community of KwaNonqaba where many where uneducated and unemployed. Together with her daughter Lumka Letuku , they started a centre to provide an all-important basic education platform for the pre-school children in 1995.
Mama Agnes joined the Clover Mama Afrika project in 2006, and it was always her dream to see her daughter Lumka take over as a Clover Mama when she eventually retired. Mama Agnes was proud to see her dream come true when Lumka took over the management and skills development training at the centre as well as becoming a Clover Mama Afrika, however, Mama Lumka left the centre soon after to pursue other interests. Mama Agnes sadly passed away. She will be greatly missed by all at Clover Mama Afrika.
