MAMA DORIS NDINGANE
Zanempilo Projects
As is so often the case, unemployment and lack of skills development in rural areas are a significant cause for concern, But Mama Doris Ndingane, well-known for her dynamic character, was not about to let circumstance define her. She started and now runs no less than six community projects; a bakery, a sewing room, a nursery, a piggery, a chicken coop, a food plot (10000sqm), and a catering service, for which she uses some of her own produce to cut costs.
She manages over 30 community members specifically women and has involved the youth in the food plot project. She oversees all these projects because she believes that empowering her community will lead to a better future for all and even has plans to extend her reach. No task is too big or too small when you believe in the opportunities that dawn bring.
