MAMA EMILY DUDA
Clover Mama Afrika Bakes
Mama Emily Duda is the first ever 100% Enterprise Development Project Mama appointed. Creating sustainable communities also meant focusing on small business development and Mama Emily’s passion for baking, motivating her team and delivering quality products was irrefutable.
She started working at Garden World in 1990 under the guidance and mentorship of owners Jan de Waal and John Mundel. Her dedication led her to rise through the ranks quickly, and she was appointed to the tea garden where she assisted in organising various functions. Mama Emily now runs the bakery at Garden World, and her ambition has resulted in her now being able to provide full-time employment to and skills development training to others.
