MAMA FEZIWE GAMBO

House-Kids Educare Centre

Mama Feziwe started her centre, House-Kids Educare Centre in 2010 when she was part of a Church community project and saw far too many children under the age of 4 who were left unattended. “Seeing these children touched me and I started a childcare centre to give kids a safe shelter and the nurturing that they deserve. Today, I have 357 children between the age of 3 months and 7 years old at the centre and I care for 30 elderly members too.” Says Mama Feziwe.

Mama Feziwe is married to a pastor and has 3 children. Being a pastor’s wife means taking care of a whole community and she became the chairperson of the Umbumbulu ECD Association with 55 members that she manages (ladies, young & old) and is the secretary of Umbumbulu NPO Forum with an additional 99 members under her care.
