MAMA NOXOLO NDZIMELA
Njongozethu Support Group
Just 40 km outside East London, Mama Noxolo Ndzimela touches the lives of 59 orphans every day. Ever since she could remember, she wanted to be a social worker but didn’t have the means to do so. Now, she is making her dream come true by assisting the kids in the community, providing them with food, clothes, education and for those born without them, she helps to register their births and get birth certificates.
Njongozethu, which means ‘our aim’, also reaches out to the community on a weekly basis and does HIV/Aids counselling. Noxolo also runs a monthly soup kitchen for the elderly at the pension payout lines. Due to a lack of help to assist her with empowerment projects, she has resigned as a Clover Mama to focus on the care of her members. She remains an ambassador for Clover Mama Afrika.
