MAMA SIPIWE SOLOMONS
Hosanna Community Church and Projects
Mama Sipiwe Solomons is a registered nurse and midwife, who together with her husband Solly, sold their home to fund their dream: providing for the various needs of the community. And so, they started Hosanna Community Church and Projects in 2008. Here she provides a feeding scheme for orphans, hospice, and home-based care for 140 children between eight and 14.
Mama Sipiwe takes a holistic approach by providing for those in her care with the correct nutrition and also offers life skills programmes so that they may reach their full potential. She also leads a team of highly dedicated professional nurses who reach into the community to educate and administer injections to people who are living with multi-drug resistance TB.
