Ingredients
250ml Cake Flour (heaped cup)
10ml Baking Powder
50ml Butter
187.5ml Sugar
250ml Milk
2 Eggs
410g Tin of Apples
Pinch of Salt
Sauce:
250ml Fresh Cream
250ml Sugar

Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Add dry ingredients and milk – mix until smooth.
- Add mixture into square oven proof dish and place apples evenly on top of mixture.
- Bake for 35 minutes.
- Mix 250ml fresh cream and 250ml sugar in a pot and boil for 7 minutes – watch as it can boil over quickly.
- Throw over baked tart immediately once out of oven (suggestion: cut tart in serving pieces before adding the sauce).
- Serve with whipped fresh cream or ice cream.
Tip
I always cut the baked tart in serving pieces before pouring the sauce over it.
