60 ml (4 tbsp) soft Clover Farmstyle Salted Butter
185 ml (¾ cup) sugar
2 eggs
125 ml (½ cup) Clover Fresh Full Cream Milk
5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla essence
250 ml (1 cup) cake flour
5 ml (1 tsp) baking powder
pinch of salt
385 g (1 tin) tart apples

250 ml (1 cup) sugar
250 ml (1 cup) Clover Cream


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Butter a round, oven-proof tart dish that is 24 cm in diameter.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar, and whisk in the eggs one by one.
  3. Whisk in the milk and vanilla essence until thoroughly mixed.
  4. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt together and stir into the butter mixture until a soft dough forms.
  5. Spoon the dough into the prepared oven dish. Smooth the dough and arrange the apple pieces on top of the dough.
  6. Bake the tart for an hour until golden brown on top.
  7. Make the sauce approximately 15 minutes before the tart is ready. Heat the sugar and cream together over medium heat. Stir frequently to dissolve the sugar and let it simmer for 2 minutes before removing it from the heat.
  8. Pour the hot sauce over the apple tart as soon as it comes out of the oven.
  9. Serve with clotted cream.
