BOERBESKUIT (WITHOUT SUGAR)

Ingredients

225 g Butter
250 ml Milk
500 ml Lukewarm water

1 kg + 250 g Cake flour (250g if needed)
2×10 g Quick yeast
10 ml Salt

Method

  1. Melt butter in milk and add salt.
  2. Add this mixture and the water in a big mixing bowl.
  3. Add the yeast to 1 cup of these measured flour.
  4. Add ¾ of the flour to the water mix and mix well.
  5. Add rest of flour gradually to form a soft dough – maybe you won’t use all the flour.
  6. Knead until smooth and shining – ± 10 minutes in electrical mixer.
  7. Leave to rise until double in volume.
  8. Knead dough and make balls, put close together in bread pan and leave to rise.
  9. Bake for 45-60 minutes at 200°C.
