Makes about 135 biscuits


500 g Butter
500 ml White Sugar
500 ml Soft Brown Sugar (Treacle)
4 Jumbo Eggs
10 ml Vanilla Essence
4×250 ml Cake Flour
5×250 ml Oats (finely chopped in a food processor)

5 ml Salt
10 ml Baking Powder
10 ml Bicarbonate of Soda
750 ml Finely chopped Chocolate
1×125 g Grated Bar One
750 ml Chopped Pecan Nuts


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C
  2. Smear 2 big bake plates with butter or use Spray & Cook
  3. Cream butter and add white and brown sugar whilst keep on beating
  4. Add eggs one-by-one whilst keep on beating
  5. Add vanilla essence and mix through
  6. Add dry ingredients and mix well
  7. Add chopped and grated chocolates and pecan nuts and mix through
  8. Roll dough the size of a teaspoon and put it in rows with enough space in between balls – do not press these rolled dough balls with a fork at all
  9. Bake 12-15 minutes until brown on top
  10. Allow to cool before removing to cool properly
