Ingredients
10 ml (2 tsp) chopped fresh garlic
5 ml (1 tsp) grated fresh ginger
5 ml (1 tsp) ground coriander
5 ml (1 tsp) salt
7,5 ml (1 ½ tsp) mild curry powder
dried chilli flakes
5 ml (1 tsp) ground cumin
600 g beef slices (steak)
Clover Farmstyle Salted Butter
1 onion, cubed
1 tomato, cubed
1 large French loaf
4 lettuce leaves, finely sliced
1 tomato, thinly sliced
½ cucumber, thinly sliced
tomato sauce
bought slap chips
250 g Clover Cheddar Sliced Cheese

Method
- Mix the garlic, ginger, coriander, salt, curry, chilli flakes and cumin together.
- Rub the spices into the meat until completely covered.
- Melt some butter and fry the onion in it until soft and translucent. Remove from the pan.
- Melt some more butter if necessary and fry the meat in the same pan. Return the onion to the pan and stir in the tomato. Cover the pan and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes until tender.
- Halve the loaf of bread lengthwise. Spread tomato sauce on the cut sides.
- Slice the meat and place the slices on one half of the bread.
- Arrange the lettuce leaves, tomato and cucumber slices on top of the meat. Round it off with the slap chips.
- Spoon some more tomato sauce over if preferred, and place cheese slices on top.
- Place the remaining half of the bread on top and serve immediately.
