500ml Cake Flour
10ml Baking Powder
2.5ml Salt
250ml Cooking Oil

250ml Milk
250ml Water
4 Eggs (jumbo)
15ml Vinegar


  1. Mix all dry ingredients with milk/water mix.
  2. Mix eggs with the oil and vinegar.
  3. Add egg mixture to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
  4. Leave mixture to stand for at least 1 hour before you start making the pancakes.


To start baking: use 5ml of cooking oil to cover the pancake pan – once the oil is wet and hot – throw away the excess oil and start baking pancakes!
NB: You do not need to add oil to the pan again!
