Ingredients

250 g smoked snoek
3 slices white bread, crusts removed
125 ml water
125 g / 140 ml Clover Mooi River Salted Choice Butter, slightly softened
Pinch garlic and herb seasoning
15 ml lemon juice
2 hard-boiled eggs
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

To Serve
Whole wheat or crispy bread or crackers

Method

  1. Remove the skin and bones and place the cleaned snoek into the bowl of a food processor.  Add the bread to the bowl and pour over the water to moisten.
  2. Add all the remaining ingredients and blend until quite smooth.
  3. Check seasoning and spoon into suitable containers or ramekin dishes. Seal with cling wrap and refrigerate until required or up to 5 days.
  4. Serve with bread or crackers.
